Do you go to all the classes, take all the notes, memorize everything, get decent exam-results and still lack clarity of understanding of the concepts?
Do you feel that the education-system is too theoretical? Do you struggle to imagine how the concepts practically apply? Do you feel that science of 11th and 12th is much harder than science of 10th?
Do you zone out in a boring monologue lecture? Do you feel like your interpretation of the concepts doesn't matter, so you might as well sleep in class?
If this is you, and if you are an IIT-aspirant, stop and pay attention. This is a serious problem. Because JEE(Advanced) tests the depth of your conceptual understanding and your ability to apply those concepts correctly to tricky problems.
It cares less about your memorization of the right words and more about your ability to apply the concepts correctly.
I have seen the education-system from top to bottom. From nursery-kindergarten to graduate-school. And, I am here to tell you - the monologue-based lecture-system in and of itself is not well-equipped to give students a deep understanding of the concepts. It is designed to indoctrinate students with the right words to memorize. Because its goal is not to make you an expert of your field. Rather, it aims to give you a basic overview of the field you're studying about and certify you for having this basic overview.
If you want true expertise in what you're studying, if you truly want to learn to apply it, you need a different kind of lecture-structure. A different lecture-system. Especially if you want to crack JEE(Advanced).
This is why I created the concept-oriented lecture. It is a new innovation in lecture-structure designed to deepen your conceptual understanding. It is not a pure monologue by design. It's 1 hour of theory and 1 hour of problem-solving (a total of 2 hours). And, we will brainstorm how the concept applied to solve the problem, in the 1 hour of problem-solving.
Your interpretation of the concepts is everything in JEE(Advanced). Because that is what will determine how you apply the concepts to model the question (which is highly non-trivial, by the way. This contributes to its difficulty-level) and how you solve it.
I will give homeworks and mock-tests that align with this priority. And, this is my prep-strategy for JEE(Advanced). I call it, the 'concept-oriented prep-strategy'.
And, one final point - the point of problem-solving is to deepen your understanding of the concepts. Especially how they apply. You can only understand that by solving problems. This should be the priority when you solve problems. Learning techniques is important and necessary, but it's not enough. Because in JEE(Advanced), questions are not repeated.
For more information on this, call to set up zoom meeting. On this call, I will give a more detailed explanation about what exactly it is that we will be doing, in my Physics tuitions.
I am taking students right now for Physics tuitions. Focused on JEE (Advanced). You can choose between personal or group tuitions, offline or online tuitions.
Classes begin in May.
